2-Factor Authentication

Your website is a major business asset that needs to be protected, and one of the easiest and most effective ways to keep the wrong people out of your account is to enable 2-Factor Authentication (2FA), also called Muti-Factor Authentication (MFA) and 2-Step Verification.

When you sign in to a website, you normally use a password, which is one "factor." Passwords have all sorts of problems and should not be relied upon alone, which is why it's a good idea to have a second factor.

The second factor is typically a "verification code," which is often a six-digit number that is time-based (so it's always changing) and is either available via an app on your phone or is sent to you via text message when you need it.

With 2-Factor Authentication enabled, someone who knows your password won't be able to sign in to your account unless they also have access to your verification code.

Webtricity allows you to set up your account for 2-Factor Authentication, either via an app or text message or both, and we encourage you to enable it. It's a quick, easy, and effective way to provide an added layer of protection to your account and your website.
